About
CF Dictionary is an unofficial, open reference for the terminology of Critical Fallibilism (CF), the philosophy developed by Elliot Temple. It also covers the surrounding vocabulary CF builds on: Critical Rationalism (Popper), Theory of Constraints (Goldratt), and Objectivism (Rand).
Sources
The dictionary is built from three primary sources, used in roughly this order of authority:
- criticalfallibilism.com — the canonical CF site (preferred source for CF-specific terms).
- curi.us — Temple's long-running blog (philosophy, politics, parenting, science, economics, with 2,000+ posts).
- elliottemple.com — Temple's personal site and policy hub.
For Critical Rationalism, Theory of Constraints, and Objectivism, the dictionary treats CF as the framing source and links outward to original-tradition material where helpful.
Editorial approach
Each entry tries to (1) state the CF-aligned definition first, (2) note origin and source, (3) link to related entries. Cross-references are written using [[slug]] syntax in source markdown so they stay in sync.
This is a summary site, not a substitute for the original sources. If a term is contested or revised, follow the link at the bottom of the entry.
How to use this site
- Browse the index, which groups terms into categories.
- Use the sidebar filter on any term page to search by name.
- Each term links to related concepts via See also.
- The theme toggle in the header respects your system preference; your choice is remembered.
Build & hosting
This site is generated by a small Node.js build script from markdown sources. There is no framework, no client-side routing, no analytics. The whole thing is plain HTML, CSS and JS and ships to any static host — including GitHub Pages via the included workflow.
